Part of the Bird on a Teacup Series, this artwork was inspired in part by Edgar Allen Poe’s poem “Nevermore”.
The Raven is crafted from hand molded wire and filled with seed beads. The wire defines each feather and adds to the intricate detail of the bird that is difficult to appreciate in a photograph. Embellished accents add a romantic/baroque detail, while the repeating skull pattern is decidedly gothic in nature.
